Why Skyline Gutters?

​Not all companies are equal. We are proud of our gutter products and installation quality. Consider these questions when comparing companies and quotes.​

-W​hat gauge gutter aluminum do they use? Standard gutter material thickness is 0.027"

We use the thicker .032" gauge which holds up much better to snow and ice, and doesn't dent as easily as the thinner 0.027" gauge material.

-What kind of corners do they use? Box miter or strip miter? 

We use strip miters which are less prone to leaking

-Do they check fascia and offer to replace it with pvc fascia if it's rotten? 

Yes we examine the fascia and give customers the option of having us replace the fascia by giving them an estimate for that. 

-Do they make sure gutters go up behind the drip edge or add flashing that goes behind drip edge and into gutter?

This is very important and we do this.

-Do they insure gutters are fastened securely and screw into the rafters if necessary?

Yes we do this.

-What sealant do they use?

We use Geocell 2032 sealant

-Do they use heavy duty fasteners with lags in the

fastener or just the hang tite ones with thinner

screws?

Yes we use hangfast fasteners with the thicker lags in

the fastener.

-Do they use downspout outlet drops or do they just use the X method?

We use outlet drops and seal them. This is stronger.

-Do they offer pictures of their work after each project?

Yes we do. 

-Do they have liability insurance and workers comp insurance?

Yes we do.
